Welcome to my blog!  I was initially going to put something together for exercise and recipes, but when I thought about it, fitness encompasses much more than that.  It really is a lifestyle!  If you eat right but never exercise, you’ll be missing out on certain benefits, and if you exercise like a maniac it won’t make up for a bad diet.  If you eat right and exercise, but don’t appreciate your health by getting out and enjoying nature, you’ll be missing out, too.   And don’t forget the spiritual aspect of health.  All of these things are nothing if we aren’t grateful to the One who created it all!  A thankful heart and forgiving attitude are healthy!  You must forgive yourself, too.  Don’t stress about “messing up” today or this week.  Forgive yourself, let it go, and move forward!

I am a mother of six, and have worked off and on in the fitness field for many years.  I taught aerobics in the 80′s (yes, tights and leg warmers!), natural childbirth classes, prenatal exercise,  then more recently, karate, kickboxing, women’s self defense.
